Hi, I’m Emily.
I’m a Melbourne-based designer and illustrator working across brand, product, print and digital design.
For the past several years I’ve worked with kikki.K, designing and illustrating commercial collections across stationery, apparel, gifting and lifestyle. My role spans the full design process, from initial concepts and illustration through to range development, finished artwork, supplier liaison and final production. I’m comfortable moving between the big idea and the very small details that actually get it made.
My work is varied by nature. I might be developing a visual identity, illustrating a collection, designing a 200-page diary or working through the technical requirements of a physical product. I particularly enjoy projects where brand, illustration and product design come together.
Alongside my commercial work, I’m the founder and creative director of Hex & Muse, an independent platform exploring witchcraft, folklore, art and culture. I’ve built the brand across podcasting, web, social, illustration and physical products, giving me the opportunity to shape everything from its identity and art direction to the content itself.
I also hold a Graduate Certificate in Service Design from RMIT, which has strengthened the way I think about audiences, systems and the experience surrounding a product or brand.
I’m drawn to work with a strong point of view, thoughtful ideas, good typography, beautiful imagery and design that understands who it’s speaking to. I love collaborating with creative teams and seeing an idea all the way through from a rough sketch to something real.
